Booking a day.
How does a BDP day pass actually work?
You browse our verified venues, choose a date and number of guests, and pay. We hold your spot. On the day, you arrive, show your QR pass, and use the venue exactly as overnight guests do — within the times and rules each venue sets.
The pass admits one guest per pass (unless explicitly stated otherwise). It’s valid for the date you booked, between the hours specified on your confirmation.
Do I need to be a member?
No. Anyone can book. Members (free to join) get The Dispatch on Sundays, early access to new venues, and the ability to save favorites.
How far in advance can I book?
Most venues open their calendar 90 days ahead. A few — typically the smaller wellness venues — open 30 days ahead. Editor’s-pick venues often have a 14-day waitlist for sold-out dates.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. At checkout, choose "booking for another guest" and enter their name and email. They'll receive the QR pass directly. You'll see the booking in your account but the venue will expect them, not you.
What if my preferred date is sold out?
Join the waitlist. We notify you (and only you, per pass) within an hour of a cancellation freeing up. About 31% of waitlist requests convert.
Can I bring a guest who isn’t on the booking?
Generally no — capacity is set per venue, per day. If you’d like to add a guest, log in and modify the booking before the date. Walk-ins are not accepted by most partners.

Payment & receipts.
When am I charged?
You’re charged at the moment of booking. Your card is held against the venue capacity. If your booking is cancelled within the free-cancellation window, the charge is refunded in full.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA bank transfer for European members. Crypto payments are under review for 2026.
Are taxes included?
The price you see is the price you pay. VAT, city tax, and service charges are all included in the listed price. There is no separate booking fee.
How do I get an invoice for expenses?
Every booking confirmation includes a downloadable VAT-compliant invoice (PDF, also sent by email). For business accounts, ask us about consolidated monthly invoicing.

Changes & cancellations.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your visit. Within 48 hours, the venue retains 50% of the pass. Within 6 hours, the venue retains 100%. We never charge a cancellation fee on top of the venue’s retention.
Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?
Yes, and we recommend it. Rescheduling to any date within 12 months of the original booking is free, regardless of how close to the date. Use the Reschedule link in your confirmation email or your account.
What if the venue cancels?
You receive a full refund within 24 hours, plus a €25 voucher for any inconvenience. Less than 1% of bookings are cancelled by venues; when they are, it’s typically due to a private buyout.
What if my flight is delayed and I miss the day?
Send us your boarding pass and tail number — if the delay was more than three hours, we’ll reschedule at no charge. We’ve done this 412 times; we trust you.

On the day.
How do I get in?
Show the QR code on your confirmation email at the venue’s reception. Most partners issue a wristband or a card good for the day. The QR is single-use; don’t share it.
What should I bring?
Most venues provide a robe, slippers, locker, and towels. We recommend bringing your own swimsuit, toiletries, and a book. Specific venue notes are in the What to bring section of each listing.
Is there a dress code?
Beach clubs and pools: smart resort wear. Spas: provided robe. Members’ clubs and lounges: smart casual minimum (no swimwear, no athletic wear). Specific dress codes are listed on each venue page.
Can I extend my visit on the day?
Sometimes. Ask reception — many venues will allow an extension subject to capacity, charged at a pro-rated rate. We can’t guarantee it; book the longer day if you want certainty.
What if I have a complaint about a venue?
Email editorial@bookdaypass.com within 7 days. Editorial reads every complaint personally. If a venue is consistently failing, it leaves the platform \xe2\x80\x94 quietly, but quickly.

Gifts & vouchers.
Do gift vouchers expire?
Never. We don’t believe in expiring gifts. Use it next month, or in 2034.
Can a voucher be split across multiple bookings?
Yes. Any unspent balance remains on the voucher code and can be applied at any future checkout, until exhausted.
Can I refund a voucher?
Within 30 days of purchase, yes — full refund to the original payment method. After 30 days, vouchers are non-refundable but transferable.
What if a venue closes before my voucher is used?
Vouchers aren’t tied to specific venues; they’re redeemable across all of them. A venue closing has no effect on a voucher’s value.

Partner queries.
I’m a hotel — how do I list?
Apply via our partner page. An editor will respond within 38 hours and arrange a site visit. Average time from inquiry to going live is 14 days.
What’s the commission?
12%, all-inclusive. No listing fees, no monthly minimums, no exclusivity, no penalty for cancelling the listing with 30 days’ notice.
How does payout work?
Net 14 to your nominated bank account, every Tuesday, in your local currency. A statement (PDF + CSV) is in your partner dashboard the day before payout.
